small design visions for urban spaces

INTERVENTION O1: RECLAIM YOUR ROOF
Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn
This urban intervention consists of a 10' x 10' component that can be aggregated to fill voids in the urban fabric. Consisting of a steel skeleton and prefabricated living facade panels, this new infill residence brings life to underutilized urban spaces.
INTERVENTION 02: ESCAPE 2.0
Combining the idea of a construction scaffold and a fire escape, this intervention brings a vertical social experience to the facade of a building. A consistent grid expands across multiple buildings, allowing residents to fill in the voids with balconies, planters, or shading devices. The final result is envisioned as an adult playground that facilitates shared experiences with neighbors.
INTERVENTION 03: DANCING IN THE STREETS
The Lot Radio, Brooklyn, NY
A temporary pavilion at the western end of the Lot Radio reclaims unused street space to double the size of the outdoor venue and provide space for performance, dancing, socialization, and observation.
